Splashy Named Week 2 Player of the Week

Jazz Gaming to Begin 3v3 SLAM OPEN on April 26
SALT LAKE CITY (April 25, 2022) – The NBA 2K League named Jazz Gaming point guard Kimanni “Splashy” Ingram Player of the Week for Week 2 of Season 5. The Milwaukee native and reigning NBA 2K22 MyTEAM Unlimited tournament champion led Jazz Gaming to a 3-0 week in Week 2, averaging 23 points and 13 assists per game, while shooting 47.6 percent from behind the three-point line.
This is the fourth time Splashy has won the NBA 2K League Player of the Week award, taking home the honor twice in Season 3 and once during Season 4.
“Splashy’s passion for the game and his desire to compete and win at a high level is infectious and really helps set the tone for our team,” said Jazz Gaming head coach Jelani “Comp” Mitchell. “Splashy is the best player in the league today, and this award is further proof of that fact.”
Jazz Gaming finished the season opening tournament, THE TIPOFF, with a record of 5-1 and will return to action tomorrow, April 26, to tip off the SLAM OPEN, the first tournament of the Coinbase NBA2KL 3v3 BLACKTOP SERIES, which allows amateur three-person 2K teams the opportunity to compete against professional NBA 2K teams.
The SLAM OPEN will pit all 24 NBA 2K League teams against North American amateur teams that earned a chance to compete through the tournament’s qualifying events and Community Teams selected by the league and consisting of top players from the 2K community and social media influencers.
Jazz Gaming’s three-person squad for the SLAM OPEN will consist of Splashy, Spencer “Ria” Wyman and Wesley “Gen” McNair.
Jazz Gaming will begin the group play portion of the SLAM OPEN as part of the Western Conference’s Group 8, which includes Blazer5 Gaming, Mexico’s DUX Infinitos and North American amateur team Intimidators. Each matchup during group play will be a best-of-five series.

Bracket play for the SLAM OPEN will be played in-person at the NBA 2K Studio in Indianapolis from May 11-14, following the conclusion of the group play portion of the tournament.
