SALT LAKE CITY (June 7, 2021) – Jazz Gaming, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, returns to play after a bye week and the all-purpose, big man Spencer “Ria” Wyman is ready to go as long as he has his top five everyday essentials – deodorant, air pods, controller, dumbbell and phone.

Those essentials translate into helping Wyman average 16.5 points (on 66 percent field goal shooting), 13.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game for Jazz Gaming which is in sixth place in the 23-team NBA 2K League. Read why these are his go-to items at https://www.usab.com/basketball/players/gamers/ria.aspx.

Wyman, the NBA 2K 2019 No. 1 overall draft pick, was a member of the inaugural USA Basketball E-National Team and helped the USA claim the 2020 FIBA Esports Open II North and Central America Conference championship. As the anchor for Jazz Gaming, he was named All-NBA 2K League First Team and All-Defensive Team last season.

A native of Shoreline, Wash., Wyman played shooting guard in basketball, pitcher/shortstop in baseball and outside linebacker in football at Shorecrest High School. When his athletics career ended due to injury, sport video games were a natural next step.

This week, Wyman and company play two-game matchups starting at 5 p.m. (MT) on Wednesday against NetsGC (4-4) and then face off at 5:40 p.m. (MT) on Thursday vs. Warriors Gaming Squad (2-0).

Jazz Gaming plays remotely from the Zions Bank Jazz Gaming Center on Level 5 of Vivint Arena. Games are simulcast live on the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

In Week 1, Jazz Gaming (3-1) split with Blazer5 Gaming, dropping the opener 70-62 before bouncing back for a 70-60 victory. Then Jazz Gaming swept Lakers Gaming with convincing 92-69 and 100-58 triumphs. The leading scorer has been Kimanni “Splashy” Ingram with a flashy 30.8 points per game average.
