Jazz Gaming Acquires Christopher “Duck” Charles in Four-Team Trade

SALT LAKE CITY (June 22, 2022) — The NBA 2K League announced today a four-team trade
in which Jazz Gaming, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, has acquired
guard Christopher “Duck” Charles and a 2023 third-round draft pick from Magic Gaming in
exchange for guard Wesley “Gen” McNair and a 2023 first-round pick as part of a four-team
trade.
Duck appeared in five 5v5 games this season for Magic Gaming, averaging 15.4 points and
8.6 assists per game while shooting 46.7 percent from the field. The Brooklyn, N.Y., native
was drafted second overall by Knicks Gaming in 2020 and was named the NBA 2K League’s
“Most Improved Player” in 2021. Duck will wear No. 8 for Jazz Gaming.
“Duck is a gifted scorer and excellent distributor, and we think he is the perfect fit for this
roster,” said Jazz Gaming head coach Jelani Mitchell. “We have serious championship
aspirations, and we think adding a player like Duck will give us that final piece to push us
over the top.”
Gen appeared in 12 games during the 5v5 portion of the season for Jazz Gaming, averaging
21.8 points and 2.3 assists per game.
